Mikkel Bølch Olsen

My name is Mikkel Olsen, I am a class of ’82 born and raised in Greve – now living in Rødovre with my girlfriend and daughter from ’21.

Since I caught my first perch as a 4-year-old, fishing, as far back as I can remember, has always been my passion.

Pilke, spin or coarse – coast, sea, stream or lake was subordinate – if there was water, you could fish.

I was simply “bitten by a mad angler”, as my parents described it.

In ’98 I shot the net frame under my first mirror carp, which really gave my fishing a whole new dimension! After this all sails and meager resources were set, to scrape together the necessary equipment to outwit more and in the years that followed, I spent countless days and nights on my sun lounger under a 50” parasol with a tarp over it, staring at my screaming yellows monkeyclimbers and gray Commoran bite detectors, which by the way couldn’t stand water 😀

Fortunately, the equipment has been upgraded over the years. But not only equipment but also boilies – and here especially the quality of finished boilies – have developed over time.

For the first several years, I mixed, rolled and experimented with my boilies myself to always know that I was fishing and feeding with optimal bait/ingredients according to the season and conditions.

But as the years have passed and the (free) time due to work and family has decreased, preparation in the kitchen is one of the places I have had to cut back.

This is where Specimen Baits come into play. With my personal knowledge of Henrik in terms of perfectionism and uncompromising quality, it was with unconditional serenity that I started fishing with his boilies years ago. And it is not without reason that I persist, as Specimen Baits has helped to create many great results from both small lakes and bogs, as well as from square kilometers of unknown waters – both inland and abroad.

See you out there

The best greetings

Mikkel
